Great to meet you!

I understand where you are coming from because I was once in a much different place than I am now. I experienced the depths of suicidal depression alternating with periods of anxiety beginning when I was a child. I went through cycles of anxiety and depression till I was 28 and I finally realized that I had healed my depression, through a variety of different techniques that I diligently applied. One that worked especially well was a way I developed to talk to myself as the “good parent,” “best friend,” and “coach,” as well as a unique way I applied affirmations to change my thinking patterns.

But even after I healed my depression, I was able to get my masters and doctorate degrees in psychology, had held several management jobs, including one where I supervised a team of 18 clinicians, I still felt like I was stuck, like something was holding me back from leading the life I was truly meant to live.

In 2009 I moved to Aspen to be the director of the Aspen Counseling Center. This is where I met Dr. Horton. I knew she was someone very special the moment we started talking. She introduced me to her method, Amate Growth Work, which helps adults get unstuck form childhood trauma so they can lead the life they were truly meant to live, a life in accordance with their Inner Guidance, a life of meaning and purpose. In order to learn the method I had to go through her program myself. And, boy, am I glad I did!

As a result of going through her program I was able to get the courage to leave my well paying federal job and start my own psychology and coaching business. I have greatly improved my relationships with my family and I am living the life I had always wanted to live, helping people like you reach their full potential through my program, based on Dr. Horton’s methods, called, “Trauma to Transformation.”

My approach to therapy

My approach is a nexus between science and spirituality.

As a classically trained, science-based psychologist, I also draw from my long personal experience with spirituality, Inner Guidance, energy healing work, energy psychology and shamanic traditions. I work with past life hypnosis and between lives hypnosis to facilitate the evolution of consciousness that leads to total transformation.

While my work is solidly based in science, it is by going beyond where traditional psychology has gone, that I have found the power to help my clients heal from childhood trauma and related addictions.

Even in your darkest moments of shame and guilt, I have an innate ability to see your divine nature and help you navigate crisis with empathy and compassion.

Through creating a safe space to explore the depths of your psyche, I guide you to release the trauma and addictions that have been keeping you stuck, so you can experience joy, purpose and true fulfillment without the need for outside substances.

What you can expect from me

One of my areas of expertise is anxiety. Here are some ways that I work with you in the area of anxiety:

The American Psychological Association defines anxiety as “an emotion characterized by feelings of tension, worried thoughts and physical changes like increased blood pressure.”

Anxiety is often considered normal, but when it starts to get in the way of your day-to-day life, negatively affects your behavior and disrupts your ability to process emotions, it’s time to seek help.

Although anxiety may seem like it’s caused by current events related to your relationship with your boss or your dating life, these are just the surface triggers that go to something much deeper.

You can think about it like this—you are made up of two distinct parts:

  1. Your Conscious mind—thoughts, emotions, memories, feelings, sensations, etc. that are within your current awareness.
  2. Your Subconscious mind—the place where all of your past life experiences are stored.

When you try to overcome anxiety with your Conscious mind, you’ll continue to repeat the same self-sabotaging thoughts and behaviors over and over because you’re missing the ROOT cause.

Anxiety needs to be addressed from its source—your Subconscious mind, which may be storing multiple negative experiences and micro traumas from an early age that cause you to experience anxiety from triggers in everyday life.

One hour of inner work on your subconscious mind is worth 7 hours of outer work on your conscious mind! If you take the time to recalibrate yourself rather than continue to suffer in a state of anxiety; you’ll be surprised at how much more productive you are and how much easier it is to thrive and live with purpose.

I would love to support you in overcoming your anxiety.
