Great to meet you!

I’m Dr. Eva (Evie) M. Thomas, PhD, a Licensed Psychologist in Tennessee and Kentucky with a Health Service Provider (HSP) endorsement, providing individual psychotherapy for adults. I offer evidence-based, compassionate care in a collaborative and supportive environment.

I earned my PhD in Clinical Psychology and completed predoctoral internship and postdoctoral training focused on the delivery of evidence-based psychotherapy. I have professional experience providing therapy across a range of clinical settings. My work is grounded in ethical practice, cultural humility, and evidence-based approaches tailored to each individual.

I work with adults experiencing anxiety, stress, mood-related concerns, life transitions, and personal growth. My approach is integrative and strength-based, shaped by both my clinical training and real-world experience.

I strive to create a warm, respectful space where clients feel understood and supported as they move toward healing, resilience, and a more grounded, flourishing life.

My approach to therapy

I provide compassionate, collaborative, and individualized care for adults. My approach is integrative and strength-based, tailoring therapy to each client’s unique needs, goals, and values. I prioritize creating a safe and supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes.

I specialize in helping clients navigate:

  • Anxiety, stress, and mood-related concerns
  • Life transitions and adjustment challenges

In therapy, I focus on practical strategies, resilience-building, and personal growth, ensuring sessions are collaborative and client-centered.

What you can expect from me

During your first session, my goal is to help you feel comfortable, heard, and understood. We will begin by discussing your reasons for seeking therapy and any immediate concerns, as well as reviewing your personal, emotional, and family context as relevant. This initial meeting is an opportunity to clarify your goals, establish a collaborative plan, and outline the process of therapy.

By the end of the first session, you can expect to have:

  • A clear understanding of how therapy will work for you
  • Initial strategies for coping with current challenges
  • A sense of safety and trust to guide ongoing sessions

Each session thereafter is designed to be collaborative and tailored to your unique needs, promoting growth, insight, and practical solutions that support your overall well-being.
