I know firsthand that life can change in unexpected ways, and that healing, adjustment, and growth are not always simple or linear. For more than 20 years, I have lived with the impact of a severe traumatic brain injury, an experience that has deeply shaped the way I understand resilience, identity, perseverance, and the importance of meaningful support.

That experience allows me to connect with clients from a place of both professional care and personal understanding. I know what it can feel like to face obstacles, rebuild confidence, adjust to new realities, and continue moving forward even when the path looks different than expected. In my work, I support adolescents, adults, veterans, and individuals with disabilities as they navigate personal, educational, vocational, and emotional challenges. My goal is to create a space where you feel respected, encouraged, and empowered to better understand yourself, make thoughtful decisions, and pursue the life you want with greater confidence.

My approach to therapy

My approach is honest, supportive, and empowering. Because of my own experience living with a traumatic brain injury, I understand how important it is to feel seen as a whole person, not defined by a diagnosis, disability, challenge, or difficult life experience.

In therapy, I focus on helping clients slow down, reflect, and recognize how their thoughts, perceptions, and choices impact their daily lives. Together, we will have meaningful, in-depth conversations that help you better understand what you are facing and identify practical steps toward growth. I believe clients are capable of creating positive change when they have the right support, encouragement, and tools. Whether you are working through life transitions, disability-related challenges, stress, impulsive decision-making, confidence, relationships, school, work, or personal goals, I will work with you to build self-awareness, strengthen resilience, and move forward with purpose.

In our first session, you can expect a welcoming and respectful conversation centered on you. We will talk about what brought you to therapy, what challenges you are facing, and what you hope to change or improve.

I will encourage you to pause, reflect, and begin noticing the thoughts and patterns that may be influencing your decisions or creating stress in your life. My goal is to help you feel more in control of your thoughts, your choices, and your direction. You can expect to leave our first session feeling heard, supported, and reminded that your challenges do not define your future. With the right support, insight, and willingness to grow, meaningful change is possible.
