Great to meet you!

Great to meet you! I'm so glad you're here. Taking the first step toward caring for your mental health isn't always easy, and I appreciate the opportunity to be part of your journey.

I am a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner with nearly 20 years of nursing experience across hospice, primary care, and behavioral health. My practice focuses on helping adults navigate depression, anxiety, trauma, stress, grief, life transitions, and burnout. I believe mental health care should be compassionate, evidence-based, and personalized to your unique story. Whether you're seeking medication management, support through a difficult season, or both, my goal is to help you feel heard, understood, and empowered.

My approach to therapy

I believe understanding is the beginning of healing. My goal is to understand your story, identify what's contributing to your symptoms, and partner with you to develop a personalized treatment plan that supports your goals and helps you move toward the life you want to live.

I believe the best mental health care is collaborative. Together, we'll explore not only your symptoms, but also your strengths, relationships, lifestyle, values, and goals. Treatment isn't one-size-fits-all, so we'll create a plan that fits your needs and comfort level.

My approach combines evidence-based medication management with supportive therapy techniques, psychoeducation, and practical coping strategies. I frequently incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, behavioral activation, and mindfulness-informed strategies to help patients build resilience and create lasting change. When it aligns with your values, I also welcome conversations about spirituality and faith as part of holistic care.

What you can expect from me

My goal is to create a warm, supportive environment where you can feel comfortable being yourself as we work together toward improved mental health and overall well-being. Our first visit is about getting to know you. We'll spend time getting to know each other as I listen to your story, learn what's been bringing you in, and understand what you hope to achieve through treatment. We'll also review your mental health history, medical history, current symptoms, and any previous treatments so I can gain a comprehensive understanding of your needs.

By the end of our first session, I hope you'll feel heard, respected, and have a clear plan moving forward. Together, we'll review treatment options, answer your questions, and develop a plan that feels realistic, personalized, and meaningful. I want you to understand not only what we're doing, but why we're doing it. My hope is that you'll leave feeling heard, understood, and confident about the next steps in your care.
