Great to meet you!

With 31 years of experience as a psychotherapist, I have dedicated my career to helping clients gain a deeper understanding of themselves. Through the process of self-exploration, my clients have been able to navigate significant challenges and ultimately create more fulfilling and manageable lives. I focus on key areas such as relationships, communication, and career, guiding individuals in uncovering their own solutions while also helping them develop and effectively apply new skills. It is incredibly rewarding to witness the transformation that occurs when clients embrace self-discovery and take actionable steps towards positive change. My approach is collaborative, empowering individuals to recognize their strengths and potential as they work towards their goals.

My approach to therapy

I bring a warm, curious, and engaging presence to my work and remain responsive to your individual needs, always willing to adapt my approach accordingly. While I draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities, I don’t follow a single framework. My background includes Psychodynamic, Trauma-Informed, Polyvagal, and DBT-informed practices. Having spent five years on a DBT team, I integrate elements of DBT into my work, though I don’t identify as a DBT therapist. I am constantly learning how to be as up-to-date with my approach.

What you can expect from me

My background encompasses Psychodynamic, Trauma-Informed, Polyvagal, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)-informed practices. I spent five years as part of a DBT team, where I gained valuable insights and skills that I incorporate into my practice. While I utilize elements of DBT, I do not label myself solely as a DBT therapist; instead, I integrate these techniques alongside those from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, and other evidence-based approaches.

This eclectic approach allows me to address a variety of issues, from anxiety and depression to relationship challenges and trauma responses. I believe in the importance of fostering a safe and supportive environment where clients feel empowered to explore their thoughts and feelings. By doing so, I aim to facilitate meaningful self-discovery and personal growth. My goal is to collaborate with you, helping you develop practical tools and strategies that can lead to lasting change and a more fulfilling life. Whether you are navigating difficult emotions, seeking to improve your relationships, or striving for personal development, I am here to support you every step of the way.
