Great to meet you!

I'm Eve — an LCSW with 38 years of experience working with people who are tired of performing "fine." I specialize in LGBTQ+ adults, people living with chronic illness, and anyone standing at a life transition wondering what comes next. My style is calm, warm, and direct. I won't push you toward answers you're not ready for, but I also won't let you stay stuck when you're ready to move. Sessions are virtual across New York, which means you can show up exactly as you are, from wherever you are.

My approach to therapy

I work from a psychodynamic foundation — which means we look at patterns, history, and the parts of yourself you might not fully see yet — while drawing on evidence-based tools like CBT and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy when you need something more concrete. We're not here to dig endlessly into the past. We're here to understand it well enough to stop repeating it. I've worked with anxiety, depression, identity exploration, grief, body image, chronic illness, and more for nearly four decades. That depth means I can hold a lot without flinching.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we'll talk — that's it. You'll share what brought you here, I'll ask a few questions, and together we'll figure out what you're hoping for. There's no intake form to fill out on the spot, no pressure to have everything figured out, and no judgment if you can barely put it into words yet. By the end, you'll have a sense of whether this feels like a fit. Most people leave that first session feeling lighter just from being heard. I'd love for that to be your experience too.
