Fabiana Araujo

Fabiana Araujo, LPC is a Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, and life transitions. She also supports children struggling with behavioral and social skills, anger management, impulsivity, and hyperactivity.

Fabiana holds a master's degree in Mental Health and Developmental Counseling and is trained to work with individuals, families, in treating mental, behavioral, and emotional challenges and other life stressors. In addition to her LPC credential, she is a School Counselor, a Certified Educational Diagnostician ,and Trained by UNT for Child-Centered Play Therapy. Fabiana speaks English, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese.

In private practice, Fabiana works with clients from diverse backgrounds and age groups, including young adults, adolescents, couples, divorcees, the LGBTQ+ community, and seniors. She specializes in Play Therapy for children ages 3-10. Through therapy, clients can experience significant improvements in their well-being, including increased confidence and self-esteem, improved mood, enhanced coping skills, better relationships and communication, more effective decision-making, stress management, and the development of positive thinking patterns.

Although she has been trained in other approaches, Fabiana mostly uses the CBT Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and CCPT Child Centered Play Therapy. The approach to be used will be unique to the client's needs and It will be discussed with the client - After all, we are all different, and that's ok.
