Great to meet you!

I’m Fabiana Robles Fontan, a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker serving clients throughout Florida. I was born and raised in Puerto Rico, Spanish is my first language, and I am fluent in both Spanish and English. I understand that culture, family, identity, language, and life experiences can influence how we understand ourselves and our mental health.

As a therapist, I strive to be warm, approachable, supportive, and genuinely nonjudgmental. I want therapy to feel like a safe place where you can show up exactly as you are; you don’t have to have everything figured out before you start your journey. I value creating real professional connections with my clients while providing encouragement, motivation, support, and compassion throughout the therapeutic process.

If you’re reading this because you’re considering therapy, you’ve already taken an important step. Reaching out for support can feel uncomfortable or overwhelming, especially if therapy is new to you. My goal is to make the process feel less intimidating, more comfortable, and, most importantly, human.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is eclectic, holistic, and person-centered. I believe therapy should meet you where you are, so I tailor my style to your needs, personality, experiences, and goals. Some sessions may focus on practical coping skills or unhelpful thought patterns, while others may provide space to process life’s challenges.

I draw from evidence-based approaches including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing. As a licensed clinician, I can help you build skills in emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness. CBT can help shift unhelpful thoughts and behaviors, while Motivational Interviewing supports values-based change at your own pace.

My areas of focus include ADHD, anxiety, depression, life transitions, obsessive-compulsive symptoms, trauma, stress, cultural concerns and discrimination, identity, and diversity. I also have extensive expertise in the criminal justice system, victims of domestic violence, and unaccompanied minors.

My goal is to create a collaborative, comfortable, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, supported, and involved in your care.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is really about getting to know each other and making sure you feel comfortable. I’ll invite you to share what brought you to therapy, what has been going on in your life, and what you hope to get out of our time together, but there is no pressure to tell me everything at once. We will go at a pace that feels right for you.

Together, we’ll begin identifying your needs, strengths, concerns, and goals for therapy. I want you to leave your first session feeling heard and supported, with a clearer idea of what our work together may look like. You can expect a relaxed, compassionate, and nonjudgmental environment where you can be yourself. Therapy doesn’t have to feel intimidating or overly clinical; we’re two humans working together toward whatever “better” looks like for you.
