Great to meet you!

Welcome to Amani Faith-Based Counseling! In Swahili, Amani means "tranquility in the midst of chaos" and in Arabic it is defined as "being intentional about your wishes". I am so proud of you for taking the first courageous step toward improving your mental health and I look forward to journeying with you every step of the way.

My approach to therapy

We are partners in pursuit of your tranquility and personal improvement. Our counseling sessions will have an aura of calm, warmth and reflection and perhaps be sprinkled with a little laughter or tears. If you are open to it, we will also apply scriptures and pray together when appropriate. Whatever the case, we will work through it--together.

What you can expect from me

In a relaxed atmosphere, we will begin with a consultation in which you will share your story and goals. Then, you will decide the frequency of your appointments and we will continue to pursue your goals in your follow up sessions.
