I prioritize understanding that each person has a unique perspective shaped by their background, family, and life circumstances. While no one can fully grasp another's experience, I strive to offer support and empathy that respects these differences.
I hold a B.S. in Family Studies from the University of Maryland, College Park, and an M.S. in Mental Health Counseling from Nova University in Davie, FL.
I approach therapy without judgment, avoiding labels like right or wrong, good or bad, and I don’t view mistakes as failures. I believe in progress, not perfection.
My style is conversational, offering a space where clients can "hear themselves out loud." This helps when they’ve been stuck ruminating on an issue. Asking, "How has that been working for you?" often helps clients confront their reality, leading to the question, "What next?" which opens the door to progress.
Clients can expect that after our initial meeting, where we discuss their backgrounds and get to know each other, I will remember nearly everything they share with me. One of my core goals is to show, through my actions, that each client deserves to feel like they are my only client.
