Great to meet you!

Unexpected life events can seem like setbacks. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I understand that it can be difficult to talk about experiences that seem hard to handle alone. For the last 6 years in the mental health field, I have worked with individuals and families ranging in age and cultural identities, with my current focus being with individuals 21 and up, who may be struggling with anxiety and depression and trauma.

My approach to therapy

We are all responsible for our own choices, and some people are responsible for making choices for others. As these choices can become daunting, there is change happening within that comes with the choices that are made. As a participant in the journey, I believe we make our own meaning in life and with life comes anxiety. Once the choice is made to come to terms with the natural occurance of anxiety, then it will become easier to live authentically.

What you can expect from me

The initial session, we will both introduce ourselves using the space of verbal conversation. After the initial session, you can expect to meet for the next two to three sessions and share more of your history and background with me, painting a beautiful picture of your life. As the rapport is being established, I will then address your therapeutic goals around the third or fourth session and review with you to make sure you understand what it is you want to accomplish during therapy.
