Great to meet you!

As a Board-Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), I am committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals navigating mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, ADHD, borderline personality disorder, mood disorders, and schizophrenia.

Prior to becoming a PMHNP, I worked as a psychiatric registered nurse for six years, providing care to children, adolescents, and adults ages 5 and older. My clinical experience includes outpatient psychiatry, partial hospitalization programs (PHP), and inpatient psychiatric settings, allowing me to support clients with varying levels of mental health needs and treatment goals. I am dedicated to serving diverse communities. My priority is to ensure that you feel heard, respected, supported, and empowered throughout your mental health journey and improve your overall well-being.

My approach to therapy

I will work with you to develop personalized treatment plans that align with your unique needs, goals, values, and life circumstances. I use supportive therapeutic techniques in my approach to promote overall emotional wellness and long-term stability. I value building strong therapeutic relationships based on trust, open communication, and mutual respect. I will encourage you to actively participate in your treatment decisions and believe that successful outcomes are achieved through partnership and shared decision-making.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, I will conduct an assessment and we will discuss any challenges that may be impacting your emotional well-being to help me gain a complete understanding of your unique needs and circumstances. The first session is designed to help us get to know one another. Depending on your needs, together we may discuss treatment options such as medication management if appropriate, lifestyle modifications, coping strategies, and recommendations for therapy or other supportive services. My goal is to create a safe, welcoming, supportive, and judgment-free environment where you feel comfortable sharing your concerns, experiences, and goals.
