Great to meet you!

My name is Falilat Bakare, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 15 years of nursing and healthcare experience. I understand that every individual's mental health journey is unique, and I strive to create a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental environment where patients feel heard, respected, and supported.

Taking the first step toward mental wellness can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to navigate it alone. Together, we can work towards healing, resilience, and a healthier, more fulfilling life.

My approach to therapy

My approach to psychiatric care is holistic, collaborative, and evidence-based. My mission is to make mental healthcare a place of hope, healing, and genuine human connection. I believe every person has a story that deserves to be heard, not just a diagnosis to be treated. My goal is to help children, teens, and adults feel understood, regain confidence, and discover their strengths through compassionate, personalized, and evidence-based care. I strive to build meaningful partnerships with my patients, empowering them to take an active role in their mental wellness. To me, success is not simply managing symptoms, but helping each person feel more like themselves and live a healthier, more fulfilling life.

What you can expect from me

Your first session with me is all about getting to know you beyond your symptoms or diagnosis. You can expect a warm, welcoming, and judgment-free space where you feel comfortable sharing your story, concerns, and goals at your own pace. We'll explore your mental health history, current challenges, and what matters most to you, while working together to identify the best path forward. Whether you're seeking care for yourself or your child, my priority is to ensure you feel heard, respected, and actively involved in your care. My hope is that you leave our first session feeling understood, supported, and confident about taking the next step toward better mental health
