Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and hold a CASAC 2 certification in the state of NY. I have worked with people in my private practice struggling with alcohol use, marijuana use, anxiety, depression, marital concerns, and life transitions. I continue to pursue educational opportunities to enhance my skills and further my growth in the field of counseling and substance abuse. I am a mom of three kids and one dog :)

My approach to therapy

I work with individuals based on what is brought to the session without predetermined ideas of how it will be and help them understand the thoughts and feelings that might contribute towards a certain behavior. I like to help individuals recognize their inner strength and value as a person. During treatment, people will learn how to identify and change destructive or disturbing thought patterns that have a negative influence on thought and behavior.

What you can expect from me

Talking through past and present experiences, and becoming aware of patterns of behavior and thoughts can bring on a range of emotions. I cannot guarantee that your behavior or circumstance will change. I will do my best in helping you navigate those situations better and help you clarify the best decision for yourself.
