Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who is passionate about helping people feel heard, understood, and supported. I am also a doctoral candidate in Counselor Education, where I study how to provide more culturally responsive and effective mental health care. My goal is to create a safe and welcoming space where you can be yourself and talk openly about what you’re going through.

I work with individuals who may be dealing with stress, life changes, anxiety, or feeling overwhelmed. I support clients in understanding their emotions and building healthier ways to cope. My approach is warm, respectful, and collaborative, and I believe that each person’s story and background matter in the healing process.

My approach to therapy

I take a warm, supportive, and collaborative approach to therapy. I believe that you are the expert of your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you as you work through challenges and build insight. I focus on creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can openly share your thoughts, feelings, and experiences.

My approach is also culturally responsive, which means I pay close attention to how your background, identity, and life experiences shape your story. I use evidence-based techniques to help you better understand your emotions, develop healthy coping skills, and make meaningful changes at your own pace. Above all, I aim to meet you where you are and support you in a way that feels respectful and empowering.

What you can expect from me

During your first session, you can expect a welcoming and relaxed space where we focus on getting to know you. We will talk about what brings you to therapy, what you’ve been experiencing, and what you hope to get out of the process. There is no pressure to share everything at once. I move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

I will also ask some questions to better understand your background, current concerns, and any goals you may have. Together, we will begin to identify what you would like to work toward, whether that is managing stress, understanding your emotions, or creating positive changes in your life. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, supported, and more at ease about starting therapy.
