Great to meet you!

The bulk of my experience is in working with anxiety, trauma, depression, ADHD and behavior management, family and school problems, issues related to grief/loss, issues related to transitions, workplace and school conflict, general life issues, and self-esteem.

I graduated from Monmouth University in 2011 with a degree in Mental Health Counseling. I have worked in a variety of settings over the years. When I initially started in the field, the majority of work I did was with the child and adolescent population that had been impacted by trauma (physical and sexual abuse, grief and loss, trauma related to food and housing insecurity).

My approach to therapy

I incorporate elements of play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, emotion freedom technique (tapping), and dialectical behavior therapy in my practice. I promote wellness through use of mindfulness and relaxation techniques. In session, I heavily focus on introducing practical skills that can help reduce symptoms you may be experiencing and help reduce any distorted thinking that contributes to what you are feeling and perceiving. I am person-centered and it is of utmost importance to me to come into sessions with unconditional positive regard for the people I work with. Additionally, it is important to me that you are able to objectively measure your growth so together we will create concrete goals in order to demystify your progress in therapy.

What you can expect from me

I enjoy watching people in their own process, revealing their personal strengths and potential. Many people come into therapy without knowing what they are capable of, and my hope is that they leave fully aware of this!
