Great to meet you!

As a South Asian Muslim therapist I acknowledge the various levels of impact our identities can have upon our lives. I hold power to the identity of individuals as they process life experiences such as childhood trauma, attachment styles, depression, grief and inter generational differences. I work to help guide and support individuals through an empathic, compassionate and nonjudgmental approach. I am committed to support individuals discover their inner strengths so that they may live a healthier and happier life.

My approach to therapy

I work to help guide and support individuals through an empathic, compassionate and nonjudgmental approach. I have experience working as a psychotherapist, a trauma therapist with individuals, children and families as well as work with children with disabilities. I utilize a strengths based and social justice framework to create a safe space for individuals to navigate through their life experiences.

What you can expect from me

For the first session, I start off with introductions, I encourage clients to share a little bit about themselves and what they are seeking for in therapy. I also provide a safe environment for clients to ask me any potential questions they may have regarding my work and experience so that we may build upon our therapeutic alliance.
