Fatima Malik

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Through years of schooling, internship, and employment, I have gained exposure to various settings, level of cares, populations, and age groups. I have experience working with a board spectrum of mental health issues including but not limited to depression, anxiety, bipolar, psychosis, trauma, and etc. In addition to my private practice, I currently work as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in a facility for substance use and mental health.

Therapy is a collaboration between the therapist and the client. Therefore, I believe in an individualized treatment plan that is agreed upon as a team. The most important component of therapy is the therapeutic alliance, which is built on trust, respect, and acceptance. With that being said, I focus on a person-centered approach allowing me to provide a safe place in which you can feel comfortable in being yourself and communicating your needs.

I believe mental health is an integral part of health; indeed, there is no health without mental health. Seeking help is often the first but yet the hardest step to take. However, if you are ready to help me, help you, you have already overcome that step. Together, we will find the quality of life that you deserve. We will navigate through the challenges and struggles of life and seek solutions to overcome your past for a better today and tomorrow.
