Great to meet you!

I’m a psychotherapist grounded in psychodynamic work, with a warm, collaborative, and gently direct style. I believe meaningful therapy begins with trust and deepens through curiosity about the patterns that shape how you relate to yourself and others. Together, we explore not just symptoms, but the underlying experiences, relationships, and beliefs that inform them.

I earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from St. Bonaventure University and have advanced training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy through the American Institute for Psychoanalysis. My work is informed by both clinical training and lived experience. Before becoming a therapist, I spent over 20 years in the corporate world. Entering this profession came after significant life experiences that clarified my sense of purpose and deepened my commitment to helping others understand themselves more fully.

My approach to therapy

I specialize in working with adults navigating anxiety, self-criticism, complex trauma, identity development, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. I often work with South Asian, Middle Eastern, and other BIPOC adults balancing cultural expectations and personal identity. I also support clients who feel responsible for everyone else while quietly struggling internally.

My approach integrates insight-oriented therapy with practical tools when helpful. I hold culture, context, and systemic influences as central to our work. Therapy with me is not about quick fixes, but about building self-trust, emotional clarity, and healthier ways of relating — so you can move through your life with greater steadiness and intention.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a conversation that feels structured but not rigid — thoughtful, collaborative, and paced in a way that feels manageable. We’ll explore what brings you to therapy right now, what feels most pressing, and what you’re hoping might feel different in your life.

I’ll ask questions to understand your history, relationships, and current stressors, but there’s no pressure to share everything at once. The first session is as much about getting a sense of fit as it is about gathering information. You’re also welcome to ask me questions about how I work.

By the end of our session, my goal is for you to feel heard, understood, and clearer about how we might approach the work together moving forward.
