Great to meet you!

My name is Fatin Dubaybo and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas. I received a Bachelor's degree in Psychology (with a minor in Gender, Sexuality and Women's Studies) from Wayne State University. I then completed a dual Master's program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling at Oakland University.

My approach to therapy

I provide individual counseling, with experience in the following areas: generalized anxiety and obsessive compulsive disorder, trauma, depression and related mood disorders, family conflicts, relationship problems, LGBTQA+ concerns, crisis interventions, academic/work performance issues, and career development. I am particularly passionate about being inclusive and multiculturally competent; I recognize that our many intersecting identities play a role in how we experience the world and I am happy to provide a safe space for clients to be their true selves. While I am more inclined towards a psychodynamic theoretical approach, I believe in an integrative approach to therapy, often incorporating cognitive behavioral techniques and social justice theory into my plan of care.

What you can expect from me

The decision to pursue therapy can be a difficult, yet important step towards change. I strive to create an atmosphere of empathy, listen without judgment, and help clients to live authentically and achieve a sense of inner peace.
