Great to meet you!

As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), I am dedicated to helping individuals achieve improved mental wellness through compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care. I work with adolescents and adults experiencing a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, trauma-related disorders, mood disorders, stress, and other psychiatric conditions.

My approach is patient-centered and collaborative. I believe that successful treatment begins with understanding each person's unique experiences, challenges, and goals. I take the time to listen, conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, and develop individualized treatment plans that may include medication management, supportive therapy, lifestyle interventions, and education to help clients make informed decisions about their care.

As a nurse practitioner, I bring a holistic perspective to mental health treatment, recognizing the connection between emotional, physical, and social well-being. My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable discussing their concerns and actively participating in their treatment journey.

I am passionate about helping individuals build resilience, manage symptoms effectively, and improve their overall quality of life. Whether you are seeking support for a new mental health concern or ongoing medication management, I am committed to providing compassionate care and partnering with you to achieve meaningful and lasting wellness.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is compassionate, collaborative, and client-centered. I believe that every person brings unique experiences, strengths, and challenges, and I tailor treatment to meet each client's individual needs and goals.

I strive to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients feel safe to explore their thoughts, emotions, and life experiences. My style is supportive and empathetic while also being direct and goal-oriented when appropriate. Together, we identify patterns, build insight, and develop practical strategies that promote healing, resilience, and personal growth.

I draw from evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness-Based interventions, and Strengths-Based practices. I focus on helping clients develop healthier coping skills, improve emotional regulation, strengthen relationships, and navigate life transitions with greater confidence.

My areas of focus include anxiety, depression, stress management, self-esteem, relationship challenges, trauma recovery, grief and loss, and major life changes. I am committed to meeting clients where they are and empowering them to make meaningful, lasting changes that align with their values and goals.

Above all, I view therapy as a partnership. My role is to provide guidance, support, and tools while honoring each client's expertise in their own life and helping them build the skills needed to thrive both during and beyond the therapeutic process.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, clients can expect a welcoming, supportive, and judgment-free environment where they have the opportunity to openly discuss their concerns, symptoms, and treatment goals. My priority is to get to know you as a whole person, not just your diagnosis or symptoms.

The initial appointment typically involves a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, where we review your mental health history, current challenges, medical background, medications, lifestyle factors, and any previous treatment experiences. This assessment helps me gain a clear understanding of your needs and develop an individualized treatment plan.

Together, we will discuss your goals for treatment and explore options that may include medication management, supportive therapy, coping strategies, lifestyle modifications, and referrals to additional resources when appropriate. I believe in a collaborative approach, and I encourage clients to ask questions and actively participate in decisions about their care.

By the end of the first session, clients can expect to have a better understanding of their symptoms, a clear plan for next steps, and a partner in their mental health journey. My goal is for every client to leave feeling heard, respected, and hopeful about their path toward improved mental wellness.
