Great to meet you!

The decision to seek therapy often comes during times of stress, uncertainty, or a desire for change. While growth can be deeply rewarding, we know that change is rarely a straight path. At times, the journey may feel clear and flowing, bringing new insight and understanding. At other times, it may feel like navigating a river filled with obstacles that require patience, support, and resilience to overcome.

Therapy can serve as a valuable tool throughout that journey, offering guidance, perspective, and encouragement along the way. My goal is to help you navigate both the smooth and challenging parts of the process, building resilience, increasing self-awareness, and creating opportunities for meaningful transformation. Together, we can work toward greater clarity, healing, and a life that feels more aligned with your values and goals.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy begins with a process of discovery. Together, we will explore the events, experiences, situations, and relationships in your life—both past and present—to better understand what may no longer be serving you. I believe that meaningful change starts with gaining a deeper understanding of how your life experiences have shaped your thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships.

As your therapist, I will work collaboratively with you to identify patterns, clarify goals, and create a path toward positive change. An important part of this process is recognizing that change rarely happens in isolation. We will also explore how growth and change may impact the people and relationships in your life, helping you navigate those shifts in a thoughtful and intentional way. My goal is to support you in creating lasting change that feels authentic, balanced, and aligned with the life you want to build.

What you can expect from me

The first session is focused on building connection and trust by first reviewing informed consent, discussing the therapy process, completing an initial assessment, and collaboratively creating therapy goals together. My goal is to help you feel supported, informed, and comfortable as we begin building a foundation for our work together.

During this time, we will also practice approaching the process with self-compassion and grace, recognizing that healing and growth take time. Together, we’ll begin identifying the areas you would like support with while creating a safe and collaborative space to continue exploring them in future sessions.
