Great to meet you!

I'm a counselor with a heart to serve and assist those who are struggling with the challenges of life. I have always had a listening ear for those attempting to process the confusing, stressful, and demanding situations they face. Counseling is my second career. My first career was in the field of dentistry where I worked for more than 40 years. While others were planning for retirement, I entered Augusta State University to acquire a Master’s degree in Counselor Ed.

My approach to therapy

I have worked with clients dealing with stress, depression, low self-esteem, anxiety, adjustment disorders, grief, parenting and marital issues. I am a client-centered therapist with the belief that change occurs when the client is ready and willing to do the work necessary for growth. Solution-focused, CBT, and psychotherapy are also a part of my treatment approach.

What you can expect from me

Every client is different and requires individualized guidance. I regularly attend continuing education classes and research relevant information and skills to share with all clients in my care. I can be the client’s biggest cheerleader and strongest support while working toward the desired change. I believe we are all stronger and more courageous than we think and with encouragement and the appropriate skills we can live the life we were born to live. A life of joy, peace, and love.
