Great to meet you!

Hello, and welcome. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) dedicated to helping individuals navigate life's challenges and create meaningful, lasting change. I earned my bachelor's degree in Dallas, Texas, and my master's degree in Psychology from Alliant International University. Throughout my career, I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults from diverse backgrounds. My clinical experience includes trauma, complex trauma, self-esteem challenges, anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, and psychotic symptoms. I am proud to provide an affirming and inclusive environment for individuals of all cultures, including LGBTQ+ clients. As a bilingual therapist, I offer services in both English and Spanish. I believe therapy should be a collaborative and empowering process where clients feel heard, respected, and accepted. My goal is to create a safe, compassionate space where healing can occur naturally and at a pace that feels right for each individual. Beyond my master's education, I pursued advanced doctoral-level training in Marriage and Family Therapy, enhancing my expertise in trauma treatment, family systems, and clinical intervention.

My approach to therapy

I take a client-centered, compassionate, and goal-oriented approach to therapy. I believe each person is the expert of their own life, and my role is to provide guidance, support, and evidence-based tools to help clients reach their goals. Rather than forcing a particular agenda, I work collaboratively with clients.

My approach integrates Internal Family Systems (IFS), (CBT), Gestalt therapy, and Virginia Satir's family systems model. I also incorporate mindfulness and body-awareness techniques to help clients understand how emotions are experienced and stored within the body.

I specialize in working with trauma, complex trauma, self-esteem issues, anxiety, and life transitions. I focus on helping clients identify patterns that may be holding them back, develop healthier coping strategies, and build greater confidence and self-understanding. My goal is to help clients feel empowered, motivated, and equipped with practical tools they can use in their everyday lives.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, you can expect a welcoming, supportive, and judgment-free environment where you can openly share your concerns and goals. My priority is getting to know you, understanding what brings you to therapy, and helping you feel comfortable throughout the process.

Together, we will discuss the challenges you are facing, identify areas you would like to work on, and begin creating a clear plan for your therapeutic journey. Many clients leave the first session feeling more hopeful, motivated, and reassured that they do not have to face their struggles alone.

You can also expect to begin learning practical tools and strategies for managing daily stressors and improving emotional well-being. I believe that meaningful progress happens one step at a time. Even small insights gained from each session can add up over time, helping us put the pieces of the puzzle together and create lasting positive change.

My goal is for you to leave feeling heard and supported.
