Great to meet you!

I have always had a passion for hearing other people’s stories and learning the small details that make each of us unique. I had wanted to be a therapist since I was young and I fell more in love with the idea while studying at Williams College. I ultimately earned my graduate degree in Advanced Clinical Practice at Columbia University. While on my journey, the practice of yoga helped me find a balance between mind and body. This led me to completing my yoga instructor training and becoming a Registered Yoga Teacher. I am passionate about the wellness field and love finding creative ways to help clients live their best lives.

My approach to therapy

I have the honor of working with adult individuals and couples seeking to address life transitions, anxiety, and interpersonal conflicts. What all of my clients have in common is a desire to find balance in their everyday life. I partner with clients to increase their authentic self-expression and improve communication skills so that they can foster meaningful relationships with themselves and with others. I have specialized training in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing, which I combine with other modalities to help clients actualize a deeper sense of self-awareness. I seek to create an affirming, supportive space for people to explore their raw emotions without judgment.

What you can expect from me

Part of what makes my therapeutic style unique is the way I intentionally tailor it to each client’s experience. No matter the circumstances, people are often doing the best that they can with the resources that they have access to. I believe that everyone is looking for a place where they can be their authentic selves without apology. A strong therapeutic relationship can be a safe space to foster that authenticity. I practice from a trauma-informed perspective and racial equity lens, and understand that each client is an intersection of the various identities they are balancing (e.g. race, gender, sexuality, culture). In our first session together, we will discuss why you've decided to begin therapy and the areas of your life you would like to work on. From there, we will create a personalized plan for emotional healing and self-discovery.
