Great to meet you!

My name is Felecytie, but you can call me Fey! I am a somatic therapist that earned my master's degree at John F Kennedy University, and attained my license as a Marriage & Family Therapist in 2020. I have worked for myself and for several agencies, serving clients from all circumstances and walks of life. My main specialization is in trauma and anxiety disorders, with further focuses on women's issues, sexual and gender identity disorders, spirituality and religious trauma, and adjustment disorders. In addition to talk therapy, I have a broad range of tools that I will use if they are appropriate, such as talk therapy, EMDR, hoʻoponopono, and dream tending/nightmare work.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is very warm and conversational. I want to meet you where you are now, in you current circumstances and situation, and built a collaborative relationship where your needs and ideas are heard and integrated into therapy. As the therapeutic relationship deepens, we can discuss more formal types of treatment that may benefit you, and how to apply them to our path together. I am not a cold, distant, or clinical expert; rather, I am your partner and guide in developing the tools you need to walk your path and find the better version of yourself that you are seeking.

What you can expect from our first session

In choosing me as your therapeutic partner, I will provide a warm, supportive environment where you can feel safe and be heard. If all goes as intended, you will leave our sessions feeling properly regulated and able to move forward on your path. You will learn tools you can apply to help manage any challenges or obstacles you encounter in your life, from simple breathing exercises to more structured processes to manage your reactions and emotions, leaving you able to deal with these problems in a positive manner. You will learn to understand yourself and your emotions, create safety, challenge inner voices from childhood trauma, and transform negative traits into strengths. Through our work, you will be able to articulate your emotions and needs, accept yourself, set healthy boundaries, overcome shame, and gain confidence.
