Great to meet you!

If you've been feeling anxious, stretched thin, or stuck in the same relationship patterns, you don't need to arrive with it all figured out. Part of my work is helping you make sense of what's actually going on underneath. I've spent years in this field both as a therapist and as a counselor educator, training the next generation of clinicians, and that background means I pay close attention to the whole picture of who you are: your stressors, your identity, your culture, and the life you're actually living.

My approach to therapy

My approach is practical and built on your strengths, not a one-size-fits-all plan. We'll look honestly at what's keeping you stuck, then put together concrete strategies you can use between sessions, not just during them. I lean on cognitive and solution-focused tools, but because I come from an assessment background, I take time early on to really understand what's driving things, so the work we do actually targets the root and not just the surface

What you can expect from me

Our first session is mostly about getting to know each other. I'll ask what brought you in, a bit of your history, and what you're hoping to get out of therapy, and you're welcome to ask me anything too. There's no pressure to have polished answers. By the end, we'll have a sense of where to focus and whether we're the right fit to keep working together.
