Great to meet you!

Felicia is a Licensed Professional Counseling at Redwood Counseling of WI. She completed her undergraduate studies in psychology at UW-Stevens Point and earned a Master’s in Rehabilitation Counseling from UW-Stout. She has a background in supporting Central Wisconsin residents navigating mental health and physical health challenges. This history provides her with important community insights and a strong grasp of the diverse needs locally. Her clinical focus includes trauma recovery, mourning, self-perception, survivor support, and managing mood regulation. Using a client-first methodology, she prioritizes building meaningful connections to help individuals reclaim their sense of wellness. Felicia empowers clients by identifying internal resources and social support networks. She remains dedicated to learning and evidence-based methods to ensure her clients receive the most effective and compassionate psychological support available today.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and client-centered. I believe that everyone deserves a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where they can feel heard, understood, and valued. I recognize that each person’s experiences, challenges, and goals are unique, so I tailor therapy to meet their individual needs.

I incorporate evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, and strengths-based techniques, to help clients better understand their emotions, develop healthy coping skills, and navigate life's challenges. My goal is to empower clients to recognize their strengths, build resilience, and create meaningful, lasting changes in their lives. I believe therapy is a partnership, and we will work together at a pace that feels comfortable and supportive.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, my priority is to help you feel comfortable, welcomed, and supported. I understand that starting therapy can feel overwhelming or intimidating, especially if you're unsure what to expect. My goal is to create a relaxed, judgment-free environment where you can begin sharing your story at your own pace.

We will spend time getting to know one another, discussing what brought you to therapy, exploring any current challenges, and identifying what you hope to gain from our work together. I'll also ask questions about your background, experiences, and overall well-being to better understand your needs.

You don't have to share everything during your first session, and there is no pressure to have all the answers. Therapy is a process, and we will move forward together at a pace that feels right for you. My hope is that you leave our first session feeling heard, respected, and encouraged about the steps ahead.
