Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with thirteen years of experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families through a variety of emotional, behavioral, and relational challenges. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that every person’s story is unique and deserves individualized care.

I strive to create a safe, welcoming space where clients feel heard, respected, and understood. I draw from evidence-based approaches including CBT, DBT, and TF-CBT, while incorporating person-centered and humanistic principles to help clients build insight, recognize their strengths, and develop practical strategies for meaningful change.

My clinical perspective is also informed by personal experience, including raising a child with mental health and intellectual needs. This has deepened my understanding of the challenges individuals and families may face and strengthened my commitment to compassion, advocacy, and resilience.

I provide therapy in both English and Spanish and welcome the opportunity to support you in navigating life’s challenges, strengthening relationships, and moving toward greater confidence, connection, and well-being.

My approach to therapy

I work with children, adolescents, and adults, experiencing a range of emotional, behavioral, and relationship concerns. This may include anxiety, stress, life transitions, family conflict, communication difficulties, emotional regulation, behavioral challenges, and the effects of difficult or traumatic experiences.

I have a particular interest in helping individuals better understand themselves, strengthen relationships, and develop healthier ways of communicating and coping. I also support clients who may be navigating significant life changes or feeling overwhelmed by challenges that have become difficult to manage on their own.

My approach is individualized and collaborative. We’ll work together to understand what is happening, identify your strengths, and develop practical strategies that fit your life and goals. I use evidence-based approaches, including CBT, DBT, and TF-CBT, within a trauma-informed, person-centered framework.

Whether you are looking for support with a specific concern or simply recognize that something needs to change, therapy can provide a space to slow down, gain perspective, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, you can expect a calm, welcoming space where we take the time to get to know you and understand what brings you to therapy. My goal is for you to feel heard, respected, and comfortable from the beginning.

I’ll want to learn about more than the challenges you’re facing. We’ll talk about your strengths, values, experiences, and what you hope to gain from therapy. Together, we’ll identify what feels most important to focus on and begin developing a direction for our work.

You won’t be pressured to share more than you’re ready to discuss. We’ll move at a pace that feels manageable while I listen closely, offer support, and help you explore what feels meaningful to you.

If trauma or difficult experiences are part of your story, I use a trauma-informed approach that prioritizes safety, trust, choice, and empowerment. We’ll build our therapeutic relationship gradually and work together to create a foundation where you can feel supported and in control of your treatment.

Most importantly, your first session is a chance to connect and determine whether we’re a good fit. You’ll have an opportunity to ask questions, get a sense of my therapeutic style, and decide whether this feels like the right space for you. My hope is that you leave feeling understood, supported, and hopeful about the possibility of meaningful change.
