Great to meet you!

Powered By Human Intelligence

I practice psychotherapy in a way that resists fragmentation - you are not a set of symptoms, a diagnosis, a singular system, a metric, a piece of data.

You are an intelligent consciousness having a unique human experience - and so many things are attempting to hijack that daily. Waking up, which therapy can be a big part of, involves learning what those things are.

My approach to therapy

No Beige Therapy

Generic, prescriptive therapy as most therapists are being force conditioned into providing these days dumbs down human experience into symptoms, diagnoses, metrics, and treatment plans that are inhumane. Humans are complicated, messy, unique.

We are designed for living, not surviving.

My approach to therapy is grounded in whole-person attention rather than adherence to a single method or framework. I am interested in how each person’s systems function as a complex human experience, including thoughts, emotions, body sensations, nervous system patterns, spiritual identity and lived history, and where internal strain or fragmentation has developed over time (some might call it trauma).

My work is grounded in the capacity to track thoughts, emotions, bodies, nervous systems, habits, and personal history as interacting elements rather than separate problems. It begins with careful attention to how those elements are organized in the present, where energy is being drained, and how patterns are maintained over time.

This is a custom approach - individualized by necessity. Humans are not algorithms. I do not practice from a single model or protocol. My training includes psychodynamic therapy, cognitive approaches, and somatic awareness, but I use these as tools rather than templates. What guides my work is what is present in the session and what restores clarity, steadiness, and accurate self-understanding.

This work is for adults who are willing to think for themselves, tolerate ambiguity, and stop outsourcing their self-understanding. People who took the time to read this entire bio. Hope to see you soon.

What you can expect from me

A human experience.

But it might look something like this:

In our first session, we take a wide-angle look at how your life is currently organized. We will cover relevant history, current stressors, patterns that keep repeating, and how you experience things internally.

One hour is only a beginning.

We will meet weekly and you'll hopefully look forward to it.

Therapy is not passive. I am not an oracle, a fixer, or a miracle worker. What I offer is careful attention, clear thinking, and a space where you can begin to understand yourself more accurately. The work is not about blaming the past or rehearsing old narratives. It is about seeing how your mind, body, and emotional patterns interact now, and how that interaction shapes your choices and your experience of daily life.

Sessions involve direct conversation and sustained inquiry. We talk about thoughts, habits, relationships, emotional responses, and bodily signals, especially where things feel confusing, overwhelming, or out of sync. The pace is intentional. We slow things down enough to notice what usually gets skipped over, so that insight leads to usable change rather than more self-monitoring.

This work can include practical strategies, but those emerge from understanding rather than being imposed. Over time, the aim is not self-improvement as a performance, but greater internal coherence and the ability to respond to life with more clarity and less friction.

I offer telehealth sessions to adults in Alabama, Illinois, and Florida. You do not need to prepare anything special for the first session beyond a willingness to be honest and engaged.
