Great to meet you!

I came to this field in midlife, guided by a deep desire to follow what I have always loved - psychology and psychotherapy. I earned my Master’s degree in a holistic psychology program, Humanistic Psychology, at the University of West Georgia and continue to pursue additional training in depth psychotherapy with the American Academy of Psychotherapists.

For over 12 years, I have been practicing Experiential Psychotherapy that values the therapeutic relationship, helping clients connect more deeply with themselves and their lived experiences, and others. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, LPC. I came to this work in midlife, guided by a deep passion for psychology and to help my clients to increase their self-awareness, to gain emotional clarity and healing, to improve their relationships, and to make meaningful changes, including changing unhelpful behaviors, in my clients.

I work with adults with a wide range of life challenges, including depression, anxiety, relationship problems, trauma, addiction, lack of meaning, loneliness, low self-worth, adjustment/cultural-related problems, and other life struggles.

My approach to therapy

My work is grounded in humanistic psychology and centers on the transformative power of the relationship between therapist and client. I focus on growth rather than pathology, and on understanding the whole person rather than isolating a single aspect of their experience. I am also committed to ongoing self-reflection and personal work.

I approach each person with compassionate curiosity, holding a deep trust in every individual’s innate capacity for healing and growth when given the right support, insight, and meaningful therapeutic relationship. I do my best to be fully present with my clients, listen attentively, and help clients identify important areas of focus and insights.

I will take the time to get to know you and understand the main reason you are seeking therapy. I aim to provide a warm, non-judgmental environment where you can speak openly and at your own pace.
