Great to meet you!

Please note: I am only able to accept couples at this time.

I help individuals and couples gain the insight and tools they need to change patterns and beliefs and discover how they want to show up in the world and in their relationships. I strive to create a safe environment where you can feel heard and understood and also be willing to challenge yourself to reach beyond your usual ways of thinking and being.

My approach to therapy

I take a collaborative and holistic approach that blends psychodynamic and behavioral therapies and my style is compassionate and genuine. Some issues I address include: depression, anxiety, relationships/communication issues, career and creativity, and navigating life transitions and losses. My goal is to help you gain the tools and self-awareness you need in order to cope more effectively with difficult thoughts, emotions, dilemmas, and stressors. In couples therapy, we examine how your personal histories may show up in your relationship and work in the moment to understand how communication (and miscommunication) happens and what we can do to change patterns that are keeping you from connecting as a couple.

What you can expect from me

In a first session, I review practice policies and expectations for therapy and, while I am an active participant who will prompt you with questions, I do not follow a script. I'll allow you a lot of space to talk so that I may get a good sense of what is bringing you to therapy and where you are struggling. At the end of the session, we will check in with how you're feeling and decide if we wish to schedule another session. It typically takes 1-3 sessions to determine the fit.
