Great to meet you!

With over 20 years of dedicated experience in nursing, I bring a wealth of clinical expertise and compassionate care to my psychiatric practice. My extensive background provides me with a unique perspective on the intersection of physical and mental wellness.

I completed my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree at The University of South Alabama, where I received comprehensive training in advanced psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. My doctoral education emphasized evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and leadership in healthcare delivery.

Throughout my two decades in nursing, I have developed specialized expertise in anxiety disorders and panic attacks, depression and mood disorders, trauma-related conditions and PTSD, adult ADHD and focus challenges, medication management and optimization, and integrative approaches to mental wellness.

What sets me apart is my commitment to staying current with the latest advancements in psychiatric care while maintaining the compassionate, patient-centered approach that has characterized my entire nursing career. I understand that seeking mental health treatment requires courage, and I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space for healing and growth.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each individual. I combine medication management with brief, supportive therapy, using techniques like motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral strategies. I focus on helping clients feel heard, understood, and empowered while providing clear guidance and practical tools. My goal is to support symptom relief while improving overall quality of life in a safe, nonjudgmental space.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment where we take time to understand your concerns, history, and goals. I’ll ask questions to get a clear picture of what you’re experiencing and what kind of support you’re looking for. Together, we’ll begin to outline a treatment plan, which may include medication options, therapy strategies, or both. You’ll leave with a better understanding of your symptoms, initial recommendations, and clear next steps.

My goal is for you to feel heard, supported, and confident about your care moving forward.
