Great to meet you!

Sometimes the hardest part isn't the struggle itself. It's finding someone who will actually understand the world you're living in. I'm Pia, a psychotherapist with many years of experience working with adults and seniors through anxiety, trauma, grief, identity questions, relationship strain, and major life transitions. I work with individuals and couples from a wide range of backgrounds, including LGBTQIA+ communities, new and expecting mothers, and people from diverse cultural and ethnic origins who have sometimes found mainstream therapy less than welcoming. I listen closely, and I work hard to make sure you feel genuinely seen from the very first session.

My approach to therapy

Our work together starts by getting a real picture of what's happening in your life, not just symptoms, but the daily moments where things feel off, the relationships that feel stuck, the patterns you've been carrying longer than you'd like. From there, we build a direction together with clear goals we track week to week, so you always know where we're headed and why. I have deep experience with trauma, and many of my clients come to me after experiences that have left them feeling disconnected, on edge, or unable to fully settle. I'm also drawn to the complexity of identity, cultural belonging, and the transition into motherhood, all areas where people often feel there isn't enough space to be fully honest.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a conversation, not an intake form. I'll ask what brought you here, what you've already tried, and what you're hoping to feel differently about. There's no pressure to have it all figured out before you reach out. If you've been wondering whether therapy could help, or whether you'd feel comfortable talking to someone, I'd love the chance to find out together. I'm currently accepting new clients and would be glad to hear from you.
