Great to meet you!

I am a versatile mental health professional dedicated to supporting individuals of all ages across Texas. I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling and bring an extensive dual background as both a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Certified School Counselor (CSC). This unique combination allows me to expertly bridge the gap between school system dynamics and deep clinical healing.

I adopt a highly personalized approach to therapy, rejecting "one-size-fits-all" treatment. Instead, I use from a diverse therapeutic toolkit to tailor sessions entirely to each individual's needs. My core specialties include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for restructuring unhelpful thought patterns, Play Therapy to help children process emotions naturally, and Trauma-Informed Care to provide a safe, structured space for healing.

My dual credentialing gives me a profound understanding of childhood development, student academic stressors, and school-based interventions. However, my clinical expertise extends far beyond the classroom, allowing me to successfully guide adults and families through life transitions, anxiety, and complex trauma. No matter the client's age, I am committed to meeting people exactly where they are on their mental health journey.

My approach to therapy

I adopt a highly personalized approach to therapy, rejecting "one-size-fits-all" treatment. Instead, I draw from a diverse therapeutic toolkit to tailor sessions entirely to each individual's needs. My core specialties include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for restructuring unhelpful thought patterns, Play Therapy to help children process emotions naturally, and Trauma-Informed Care to provide a safe, structured space for healing.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is entirely about connection, comfort, and collaboration. Stepping into therapy can feel intimidating. Because of this, my primary goal is to create a warm, judgment-free, and inviting environment where you feel completely safe to share your story.

The initial session acts as a roadmap for our time together. During our first 50 minutes, we will typically cover three main areas:

  • Understanding Your Story: We will discuss what brings you to therapy right now. We will also explore any relevant background information and how your day-to-day life is being impacted.
  • Exploring Modalities: I will introduce how we might use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Play Therapy (for younger clients), or Trauma-Informed Care based on what fits your personality and needs.
  • Navigating Systems: If you or your child is facing hurdles within the Texas school system, we can discuss how my background as a school counselor can help us advocate for academic and emotional accommodations.
