Great to meet you!

I believe in having raw, vulnerable, and transformative conversations. Be prepared to laugh, cry, and check in with parts of yourself and your story that might have been silenced due to lack of awareness or out of necessity. I am most passionate about relationships (including our relationship to ourselves, and I proudly served a wide range of underserved communities, including black and brown communities, and the Muslim population. También hablo español!

My approach to therapy

My personal belief is that "wellness" is addressed systemically. When a person's mental, physical, spiritual, and emotional health is strong and aligned, life seems to "flow" better. Through the use of narrative therapy, emotionally-focused therapy, and evidence-based psychoeducation on trauma and neuroplasticity, I help my clients to learn more about the origin of certain limiting beliefs about themselves and the world, and how these beliefs inform their current actions and relationships.

What you can expect from me

Listen, Learn, Liberate! My clients often tell me that therapy with me doesn't "feel" like they are being therapized, psychoanalyzed, or judged. My hope is that my clients leave therapy with a greater understanding and appreciation of themselves, their story, and their relationships. And that through this understanding, they can live bold lives, free of operating out of "survival." To transition out of just "going through the motions" towards feeling like an "active participant" in your life!
