Great to meet you!

Great to meet you!

I am a bilingual (English & Portuguese) psychiatric nurse practitioner with Brazilian and European roots and the ability to communicate in basic Spanish. A former Dentist (DDS) from Brazil that later earned my BSN and PMHNP in the United States, I bring a rich multicultural perspective and a compassionate presence to mental health care.

My practice is grounded in integrative psychiatry, honoring the deep connection between mind, body, and spirit. I thoughtfully blend psychotropic treatment with genetic testing, nutritional neuroscience, micronutrient assessment, and lifestyle-based strategies to support whole-person healing.

Guided by a personal philosophy of slowing down, gratitude, and spiritual grounding, I create a warm and collaborative space where patients feel truly seen, heard, and supported on their journey toward balance and resilience.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy

I provide compassionate, integrative psychiatric care rooted in the belief that true healing occurs when the whole person is addressed—mind, body, and spirit. My approach is grounded in evidence-based psychiatric practice while thoughtfully incorporating principles of integrative and functional psychiatry.

Rather than focusing solely on symptom management, I seek to understand the root causes of mental health concerns. I carefully evaluate biological, psychological, social, and lifestyle factors that influence emotional well-being, including inflammation, micronutrient deficiencies, metabolic health, sleep quality, gut-brain connections, trauma history, and stress physiology. This comprehensive assessment allows for highly individualized treatment plans that go beyond a one-size-fits-all approach.

I integrate modern psychopharmacology with nutritional psychiatry, targeted nutraceutical support, lifestyle optimization, and supportive psychotherapy. When appropriate, I utilize genetic and pharmacogenomic testing to guide medication selection and dosing, improving treatment response while minimizing side effects. My clinical work emphasizes precision-based care that supports long-term stability, resilience, and overall wellness.

Central to my philosophy is a strong commitment to patient education, collaboration, and empowerment. I partner closely with each individual, honoring cultural values, personal goals, and lived experiences. Through this integrative and compassionate model, I help patients build emotional balance, physical vitality, and sustainable mental health—supporting not only symptom relief, but meaningful healing and an improved quality of life.

What you can expect from me

During your first session, you can expect a calm, supportive, and judgment-free space where you feel truly heard. My goal is to understand your story, your strengths, and what brought you here, so we can create a treatment plan that feels safe, personalized, and aligned with your goals.

We will explore your emotional and physical well-being, daily routines, stressors, nutrition, sleep, and any other factors that may be influencing your mental health. Your first session will help us decide together which style of care—conventional, integrative, or blended—best fits your needs and the level of support you prefer.

If appropriate, we may discuss psychotropic medications, laboratory or micronutrient evaluations, genetic testing, lifestyle guidance, and mind–body strategies. Nothing is rushed—this is a collaborative conversation, and you will always play an active role in every decision.

Most importantly, you can expect warmth, compassion, cultural sensitivity, and a space where you can show up exactly as you are. Together, we will begin guiding your path toward balance, stability, and long-term well-being.
