Great to meet you!

I have been a clinical social worker for almost 45 years. I have had a range of professional experiences, providing direct services to adolescents and adults.

I want my clients to know I'm on their side, whatever the issue. Unless it's an egregious situation, I can usually make it into a learning experience by offering a different frame of reference. I am always sincere and genuine in my interactions and I believe that clients are savvy enough to know the difference.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach to therapy uses a combination of biological, cognitive, humanistic, behavioral and psychodynamic theories. I am a big fan of Eric Erickson's psychosocial stages of development and clients seem to respond positively to this framework. I specialize in trauma and attachment.

What you can expect from our first session

I create an environment of trust, openness, comfort and acceptance. I set SMART goals: specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and time bound. My clients and I review objectives and goals regularly and revise the treatment plan when necessary.
