Great to meet you!

I am a compassionate and experienced mental health counselor who works with adults, couples, and individuals navigating anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, and adjustment difficulties. With both professional training and the perspective that comes from lived experience, I understand that life can bring very different challenges at different stages. I bring a mature, grounded, and nonjudgmental perspective to therapy, creating a space where clients can feel heard, understood, and supported. I hold a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Barry University and provide therapy in both English and Spanish.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and individualized. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, solution-focused strategies, and selected psychodynamic concepts to better understand each client’s emotional experiences, patterns, relationships, and underlying needs. I believe that understanding where certain patterns come from can help us create meaningful change in the present. Together, we explore unhelpful patterns, build on your strengths, develop effective coping skills, and identify practical steps toward your goals. Therapy is a collaborative process, and I adapt my approach to each person’s needs, pace, and goals.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and for you to share what brings you to therapy in a comfortable, judgment-free environment. We will discuss your current concerns and goals for therapy. I will listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions, and begin developing an individualized understanding of what you are experiencing. Together, we will identify areas to focus on and determine how therapy can best support you. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, supported, and hopeful about the process.
