Great to meet you!

My name is Folake Oniyide, and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor. With over a decade of experience in the mental health field, I am dedicated to providing compassionate, client-centered care that meets the unique needs of each individual and family.

With advanced training in counseling and behavioral health, I specialize in treating adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, and behavioral challenges. Moreover, I am committed to providing culturally sensitive care, utilizing trauma-informed practices, and supporting families through life transitions.

My approach combines evidence-based strategies with warmth, empathy, and a collaborative spirit. My goal is to empower my clients by building a therapeutic relationship based on trust, respect, and authenticity.

Whether you are seeking support, healing, or guidance through life's challenges, I am here to help you

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is based on empathy, collaboration, and cultural humility. I believe that each client brings their strengths, history, and perspective to the therapeutic process. I am here to meet you where you are, to walk with you compassionately, and to assist you in uncovering the tools and insights that will enable you to create meaningful change.

I utilize a blend of evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, while incorporating trauma-informed and person-centered principles. I have a supportive yet structured therapeutic style, and I adapt my interventions to match each client's goals, pace, and communication style.

My primary goal is to provide clients with a safe, nonjudgmental environment in which they feel heard, seen, and empowered to grow

What you can expect from me

Clients working with me can expect a supportive, nonjudgmental, and safe environment in which they are encouraged to be themselves. It is my goal to establish a therapeutic relationship based on trust, respect, and cultural sensitivity. My sessions are collaborative and goal-oriented, designed to help clients gain deeper insight, develop effective coping strategies, and build emotional resilience.

No matter what the issue is, whether it is anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral challenges, or life transitions, my goal is to help clients feel empowered, emotionally regulated, and more confident in their daily lives. As a result of your sessions, you will have practical tools for managing stress, setting boundaries, improving communication, and fostering healthy relationships.

In the end, my goal is to create a therapeutic experience in which you feel seen, supported, and capable of making meaningful, lasting changes.
