Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 25 years of experience helping individuals and families navigate life's challenges, transitions, and opportunities for growth. I earned my Master of Social Work degree from Loyola University and have worked extensively in private practice, hospice and palliative care, domestic violence services, disability advocacy, geriatric care, and community mental health. I work with adults facing anxiety, depression, grief and loss, chronic illness, caregiving stress, disability-related concerns, life transitions, aging, end-of-life issues, and the emotional impact of trauma and relationship challenges. Every person's story is unique and deserves to be met with compassion, respect, and genuine understanding.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, thoughtful, and tailored to each individual's needs and goals. I draw from psychodynamic and narrative approaches to help clients better understand their experiences, identify meaningful patterns, and develop new ways of moving forward. Healing happens when people feel truly heard and supported, and I strive to create a space where clients can explore their challenges with curiosity, insight, and self-compassion. As a Reiki Master, I also value the connection between mind, body, and spirit and bring a holistic perspective to the therapeutic process.

What you can expect from me

Beginning or returning to therapy can feel both hopeful and vulnerable. During our first session, my goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where you can share your story at your own pace. We'll discuss what has brought you to therapy, explore your current concerns and strengths, and talk about what you hope to achieve through our work together. You can expect a warm and compassionate conversation focusing on your story and ways we can join together to create a plan for moving forward.
