Great to meet you!

I enjoy meeting new people and learning about their history and what they hope for in their future.

I offer to pray at the conclusion of sessions.

Frequently I text or email check lists and support information to follow up on the sessions focus.

The past 20 years in private practice as a LPC and 30 years in Public School, has given me experience with children, adolescents and adults. Successful changes clients have made came from their decisions to continue with therapy and skills that work for them.

My approach to therapy

Our first session is an information gathering meeting. You tell me about your history, medical, family, friends, career status and current emotional state plus your emergency contacts.

The goals you desire to make will help determine the course to use in therapy. Conversation leads to treatment choices that you are comfortable with.

The logical approach of CBT, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, emphasizes the connection of emotions, behaviors and thoughts.

Neurologically, EMDR connects reality and the present time to help diminish emotional reactions to past traumas, impeding history, depression, anxiety and a number of other conditions.

What you can expect from me

When the security of emotional support and privacy are established, you can make ”Headway” toward your goals.
