Great to meet you!

I am a Hispanic immigrant, and my own experience of navigating life across cultures and languages has shaped the way I show up for my patients. I understand firsthand what it means to carry more than one identity, to move between worlds, and to search for a space where you feel truly seen. That lived experience is woven into everything I do clinically.

My faith as a Catholic informs my deep respect for the whole person, and I am proud to be an affirming provider for LGBTQ+ individuals and families. Every person who walks through my door deserves care that honors who they are without qualification.

I earned my Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Florida International University, where I had the privilege of training under Dr. William E. Pelham, Jr., widely recognized as the foremost authority on the behavioral treatment of ADHD. That foundation gave me a rigorous, evidence-based lens for understanding attention, behavior, and learning that continues to inform my clinical work today. I went on to complete my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Nova Southeastern University and finished my training with a Fellowship through the Florida State University College of Medicine, where I developed my specialization in health psychology.

My approach to therapy

Deciding to start therapy takes courage, and I want you to know that whatever brought you here, you do not have to navigate it alone. My role is not to tell you who you are or who you should become. It is to walk alongside you as you figure that out for yourself.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist with specialized training in neuropsychology, and I take a genuinely holistic approach to care. That means I am interested in all of you, not just the presenting problem. Your emotional life, your physical health, your relationships, your history, and your strengths all matter in the work we do together.

I draw on evidence-based approaches tailored to what you actually need, because no two people arrive at my door with the same story. What stays consistent is my commitment to creating a space where you feel heard, understood, and met with both empathy and honesty.

You are the expert on your own life. I bring the clinical training and the outside perspective. Together, those two things can open up possibilities that feel out of reach right now.

I offer services in both English and Spanish, and I am currently welcoming new patients. If you are ready to take that first step, I would be honored to be part of your journey.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is simply a conversation. There is no agenda to rush through, no battery of questions to check off. My goal in that first meeting is to understand you as a whole person, not just the reason you scheduled the appointment.

I will ask about what brought you in, but I will also want to know about your life more broadly. Your relationships, your history, what has worked for you before and what has not. I find that the context around a problem is often just as important as the problem itself.

By the end of our first session, you can expect to leave with a clearer sense of what we might work on together and how. We will begin to identify what you are hoping to change, what is getting in the way, and what your strengths are that we can build on. I do not hand people a treatment plan on day one, but I do want you to walk out feeling like the time was well spent and that you have a sense of where we are headed.

The environment I try to create is one where you do not have to perform or present yourself in any particular way. Come as you are. Whether you arrive with a lot to say or you are not even sure where to start, we will find our way in together. Many people feel more at ease than they expected. The therapeutic relationship is not a backdrop to the work. It is the work.
