Great to meet you!

If no-one has told you or your child lately, you get to have all of the feelings. We get to feel anger, sadness, fear and also joy and relief. Believe it or not we want to have all the feelings, the good and the difficult. The goal is and the goal of my practice is to help you or your child have feelings (because we are going to) in a healthy and adaptive way. Emotions are literally chemicals released into our body, trying to ignore them only works for so long. Through a mind and body approach we will work together to find safety in your body and work towards greater adaptability and flexibility.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is through both mindfulness and somatic practices. That is, our ability to stay in the present when our worries, fears, and frustrations overcome us and our ability to create a sense of safety and grounding. These approaches work with both children and adults and can give us the quality of life that we desire and deserve.

What you can expect from me

During our first session we will complete an initial assessment. We will start by identifying what brought you to therapy and the problems that you or your child are experiencing. As well as taking a family, social, and medical history, including past treatment (if applicable) we will together determine goals for services because more anything your voice matters!
