Great to meet you!

I have been a Licensed Professional counselor since 2000. I earned my Master’s Degree in Biblical Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary. I have 23 years experience counseling a wide variety of persons with various disorders and problems. I most enjoy counseling those with chronic illness/disabilities. I feel I can provide them with a sense of hope and ways to cope with those disabilities.

My approach to therapy

My primary foundation is Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. Research indicates that the use of CBT can be effective in reducing or even eliminating the symptoms associated with anxiety, depression, obsessions, and phobias. I believe that life can bring us many stressors. Sometimes we feel overwhelmed and can’t figure out what to do and it is our attitude that makes the difference. Many times if we change our attitude and thinking, our reactions, emotions and behavior change also.

What you can expect from me

In my office, you will find a Christ-centered atmosphere, where people feel welcome to talk about their pain and suffering, working through problems to lead healthier, more productive lives. I like to provide tools to give the client hope for working through their difficult situations.
