Frank Busbey

My name is Frank Busbey, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor working remotely with individuals and couples from Georgia or Alabama. I earned a Masters in Professional Counseling with a Specialty in Spiritualty. I am also an ordained Anglican priest. My aim is to help people heal from life's wounds and grow in personal strength. I have training in using clients' faith to help in the therapeutic process and also work with many clients seeking non-faith-based therapy and counseling.

In therapy, I seek to create a calm, safe place for my clients. Listening carefully and actively is primary in my approach. I want you to be able to share anything and everything and gain a deeper self-understanding. I use a mixture of therapeutic approaches depending on what the client needs. These include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, insight oriented therapy that explores the impact of trauma and childhood events.

Our first session will be a time of exploration. I will listen to your concerns, asking questions to help me understand clearly what you want and need from therapy. My goal in the first session is to begin to get to know you and begin to build a connection that will help our work together accomplish what you want and need. Clients usually gain skills to deal with their issues, a better sense of self, and are more ready to face the challenges of life.
