Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Doctor in Marriage and Family Counseling with over 20 years of experience helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges. I earned my Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Palm Beach Atlantic University and my Doctorate in Marriage and Family Counseling from Liberty University.

My approach to therapy is structured, compassionate, and action-oriented. I integrate evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for anxiety and OCD. When appropriate, I also incorporate faith-based principles for clients who desire a spiritual perspective in their healing journey.

I work collaboratively with clients to address the mind, body, and spirit, helping them develop practical tools to strengthen relationships, manage anxiety, and create meaningful change in their lives. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to grow.

My approach to therapy

My approach to treatment is structured, compassionate, and action-oriented, while also taking a holistic view of each person’s life. I integrate cognitive-behavioral techniques, emotionally focused therapy, and faith-based principles to support meaningful and lasting change. I work collaboratively with clients to address the mind, body, and spirit, helping ensure that their healing and personal growth are grounded in both psychological insight and spiritual well-being.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect the first session to be a welcoming and supportive conversation focused on getting to know them and understanding what brings them to therapy. I will ask questions about their current concerns, personal history, relationships, and goals to gain a clear picture of what they are experiencing.

We will also discuss how their challenges may be affecting different areas of life, such as emotional well-being, relationships, work, or daily functioning. During this session, I will conduct an initial assessment and begin identifying patterns that may help guide treatment.

Equally important, the first session is an opportunity for clients to ask questions, share their expectations, and determine whether they feel comfortable working together. By the end of the session, we will discuss initial impressions, possible treatment approaches, and the next steps, so clients leave with a clearer understanding of the path forward.
