Great to meet you!

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with a Master of Science in Nursing from Maryville University. Throughout my career, I have worked across a wide spectrum of psychiatric environments, ranging from inpatient acute care to outpatient clinical settings. This experience has allowed me to support a diverse population, including adults and geriatric patients navigating various stages of life.

My areas of specialty include:

Comprehensive Psychiatric Evaluation & Medication Management: Providing evidence-based, cautious, and collaborative medication planning to help you reach stability.

Adult & Geriatric Psychiatry: Addressing the unique mental health needs of adults and older adults.

Holistic Mental Health Support: Integrating symptom management with a focus on lifestyle and overall well-being.

Therapeutic Alliance: Building a strong, trusting partnership to navigate complex mental health challenges

My approach to therapy

My clinical philosophy is rooted in the belief that mental health is a collaborative partnership. I work with you to understand your unique story, needs, and goals.

I focus on symptom-driven care. My primary goal is to help you find relief by identifying and managing the specific symptoms that are impacting your daily life. By utilizing a holistic lens—combining thoughtful medication management with empathetic, goal-oriented support—I help you regain balance. I believe in empowering you with the knowledge to make informed decisions about your treatment, ensuring that you feel heard, respected, and fully supported in your journey toward wellness.

What you can expect from me

What to Expect: Your First Session

I understand that reaching out for psychiatric care can feel like a significant step, and I aim to make your first session as comfortable and clear as possible.

The Environment:

My practice offers a safe, non-judgmental, and private space where you can openly discuss your concerns without the pressure of being rushed.

The Process:

Comprehensive Assessment: We will spend time discussing your current symptoms, your history, and any previous treatments. This helps me gain a complete picture of your needs.

Collaborative Planning: We will explore your personal goals. Whether you are looking to stabilize your mood, improve sleep, or reduce anxiety, we will define what success looks like for you.

Clear Outcomes: By the end of our first meeting, we will establish an initial treatment plan. This may include a tailored medication strategy, recommendations for supportive lifestyle changes, or referrals to additional resources.

Moving Forward: My goal is for you to leave the first session with a sense of clarity, a clear roadmap for your care, and the confidence that you are not on this journey alone.
