Great to meet you!

Hi there! I’m Fritzie, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and I’m so glad you’re here. With a down-to-earth approach rooted in deep clinical experience, I specialize in helping adults heal from the heavy weights of anxiety, depression, and complex trauma. My style is warm, active, and entirely collaborative, meaning we work as a team to break old patterns and build lasting relief. Therapy with me is a safe, completely judgment-free space where you can show up exactly as you are.

My approach to therapy

My approach is deeply tailored to how you learn best and paced entirely around your comfort and readiness for change. I specialize in treating traumatic experiences—ranging from single-event incidents like car accidents to chronic, long-term attachment trauma and childhood neglect. I am especially passionate about multigenerational trauma work, partnering with clients who are ready to break the cycle of unhealthy family messaging for the next generation.

Because trauma, anxiety, and depression affect both the mind and the body, our work goes beyond standard conversation. I use a dynamic blend of cognitive-behavioral tools, mindfulness, and somatic (body-based) interventions to help you safely connect with your physical self, challenge distorted thought patterns, and drastically reduce the weight of chronic shame. We will use interactive handouts, videos, and real-life examples, accompanied by brief real-world homework to help you master new skills outside of session. Ultimately, my goal is to help you build healthy communication, establish guilt-free boundaries, increase your mental flexibility, and feel genuinely safe in your own mind and body.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is designed to give you a clear roadmap while ensuring you feel completely heard, safe, and understood. We begin by briefly reviewing the legal essentials, like confidentiality, to answer any paperwork questions you might have. From there, we move into a balanced flow of open dialogue and structured safety assessment. This allows you the space to share your story at your own pace, while giving me the essential diagnostic information needed to understand what is hurting.

I utilize evidence-based frameworks like CBT, DBT, and ACT to help stabilize symptoms of grief, anxiety, and depression, which effectively prepares clients for deeper EMDR trauma processing. By the end of our first 50 minutes (or the very start of our second), we will collaborate to build a customized treatment plan tailored to your goals. You will leave this first session with a clear understanding of what to expect from the therapeutic process, concrete next steps, and the relief of knowing you don't have to carry this alone.
