Great to meet you!

My desire to be a therapist began at the age of 10 when I was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes and faced learning how to cope with this significant change. This experience allowed me to learn coping skills and strategies to overcome the road bumps that we experience in life and a passion of providing the same knowledge to others. I have 13+ years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families. My top 2 specialties are couples counseling and coping with chronic illness.

My approach to therapy

My approach is to work with my clients in a collaborative relationship to build on the strengths that naturally exist. Within these strengths, we will learn additional skills of communication, coping, and unity to build up the relationship as a family. My belief is that every individual deserves their idea of happiness and fulfillment and I would like to provide my expertise and knowledge on how to overcome any obstacles that may come in our way.

What you can expect from me

Each session is a "working session" where we discuss topics and goals established by the client and work on real time exercises and skills to apply to their desired goals. In between sessions clients will also have benchmark goals and homework to continue to practice and grow toward their overall treatment goal.
